Streamline Your Fitment Process with “Inherited Parts” in PCFitment
We’re excited to introduce a new feature in PCFitment: “Inherited Parts.” This innovative addition simplifies managing fitments across multiple parts, saving you time and ensuring consistency.
How Does It Work?
Let’s say you have Part# CDP35148 and you’ve added 38 fitments to it. Now, you need the same fitments for Part# CDP35148-1, Part# CDP35148-2, and potentially more parts. With our new “Inherited Parts” feature, you can effortlessly manage this. So, once you use the inherited feature, whatever changes you made to the parent part will automatically impact all your child parts.
Adding Inherited Parts
To add inherited parts, follow these steps:
- Add Part# CDP35148 and include its 38 fitments.
- For parts like Part# CDP35148-1 and Part# CDP35148-2, add them as inherited parts.
- In the interface, simply input the inherited part number and ASIN, then click the “Add” button.
The inherited parts will now appear in the database and list them in the grid format.
Managing Fitments
When you open an inherited part, a window will display its details. However, it’s important to note that you cannot add, update, or delete fitments directly from inherited parts. Any changes to fitments must be made in the parent part (e.g., CDP35148). Once updated, these changes will automatically reflect across all inherited parts.
Submitting to Amazon
After configuring your fitments and inherited parts, the submission process to Amazon remains straightforward. All inherited parts will be submitted with their parent part fitments, ensuring uniformity.
